The first step in igniting your first home dreams, is to understand what you need in a home. Where do you want to build? What kind of house? Where do you want to be in 5 years time? What’s your budget and time frame. Once we have collected this information from you, we can take the next step to find the right location and style of property for you.

There is a lot of work that goes into finding the right block of land to build on. You need to consider everything from the location, to size of the block, as well as how flat or steep the block of land is. Ignite Property is there the whole way to help you on this journey - often we might have access to land that’s not available on all the property websites.

When you’ve found your dream block of land, the next step is to design your house. How many bedrooms do you want? How big (or small) do you want your house to be? Are you looking for a stand alone house, a townhouse, terrace or unit. Then you need to consider the level of specification in the house. There’s a big difference between a Toyota Corolla and an Audi RS8. Which are you building? Keep your goals and budget in mind - but we are there to help you get the best price and value for money.

Have you built your team? There are a number of people you need in your back corner when building. A good financier, solicitor, builder and someone to do your handover inspection. If you don’t have this team already in place, we have a good network of people we respect and trust that can help you on your journey. Once the build gets underway, we are there to assist you make sense of everything that is happening. When to pay your progress payments, timelines on completion, how the build is progressing. We keep you posted along the way, building the anticipation until you can move in.

As near the end of the build, we will recommend a handover inspection to be done, from a Licenced builder who will inspect the house for any defects so they are rectified before you move in.
7.
Once handover has happened, we are still available to assist with any issues, especially in the first 12 months when you are in the builders defect period.
